She has developed an expertise in Customer Management (B2B) areas such as Efficient Consumer Response initiatives, sales strategy, process analysis and redesign, and organisational structure and capabilities. Working closely with the IT/IS functions on generating better business insights has always played a key role.
Having lived and worked in the UK, Belgium, Switzerland and Denmark, Vivian has a truly cross-cultural outlook.
Customer and Business Development Director with the games giant Electronic Arts, Vivian coordinated the company's approach to category management in Europe as part of a cross-functional and cross-border initiative developing ECR capabilities. This involved an exchange of best practices with the US business.
Prior to that, pricing and trade terms analysis and pan-European customer management and trade marketing coordination formed part of her responsibilities.
With Electrolux Home Products Europe as Strategy Manager, Sales & Marketing, Vivian developed strategic Customer Management processes, coordinated the delivery of a training programme for the European sales managers and directed the development of a European channel strategy. Vivian was also instrumental in assimilating consumer insights (psychometrics) throughout the company from product development to delivery at retail.
With the Intellectual Property Services firm CPA as Marketing Operations Manager, she conducted client portfolio and profitability analyses and supported the development of a CRM system.
As Group Sales Development Manager for United Biscuits, Vivian was involved in a major, pan-European benchmarking exercise followed by tailored support at territory level of sales strategy, category management and competency development activities. She designed and managed an innovative process for reviewing and restructuring territory commercial team structures to better reflect the market opportunities. At Mars Confectionery as European sales Engineering & Information manager, Vivian designed and implemented sales force work studies and call file optimisation.
